There’s usually two kind of articles on Medium about affairs:

• All Cheaters (Especially My Ex) Are Vile, Abject Monsters Who Deserve To Burn In The Lowest Ring Of Hell. I’m An Immaculate Angel Who Had Never Once Entertained The Idea Of Cheating In My Entire Lifetime

And

• Cheating On My Partner Is Actually A Bold Progressive Statement And You Guys Should Admire Me For Refusing To Conform To Archaic Societal Rules About Fidelity

It’s really nice when, for once, somebody says “hey, cheating is bad and I don’t approve of it, but it can happen. I actively try to stay true to my principles but sometimes it’s hard work, and I don’t consider myself immune to mistakes.” Sounds a hell of a lot more honest to me.
