Roberto Giacobbo, a popular and very un-scientific science communicator, was talking about that very theory on Italian TV yesterday! There’s a saying in Italy that every time Giacobbo speaks, somewhere in the world a scientist dies.

What struck me as evidence of the wackiness of Gagliano’s theory is that she called her discoveries using Mimosa plants “groundbreaking” and yet she didn’t pursue them any further. If I thought a line of research was revolutionary I would sure as hell continue researching!
